What makes a Licensed Reiki Master Teacher (LRMT) different from other Reiki practitioners and teachers?
The Licensed Reiki Master Teacher designation represents one of the highest levels of professional Reiki teacher training available and is offered only through the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT).
Becoming an LRMT is a layered process. Before being considered for the Licensed Teacher Program, a practitioner must already have advanced thorough Reiki training to become a teaching Reiki Master, have substantial experience practicing and teaching Reiki, maintain an established professional practice, and have a professional website.
The licensing program itself requires extensive additional training, including more than 1,000 hours of documented clinical practice, study, teaching and co-teaching, ongoing evaluation, peer review, and adherence to ICRT professional and ethical standards. The process typically takes 3-4 years to complete.
I am part of a select worldwide group of Licensed Reiki Master Teachers and have earned the additional designations of Senior LRMT and Mentor Teacher with the International Center for Reiki Training. These advanced designations reflect extensive experience in professional Reiki practice, teaching, and the mentorship and development of other Reiki teachers.
What forms of Reiki do you use during a session?
My work is grounded in traditional Japanese Usui Reiki and Holy Fire® III Reiki. Years of clinical practice and advanced training allow me to work intuitively within the structure and principles of Reiki, responding to each person and session individually.
What should I expect during an in-person Reiki session?
You remain fully clothed and rest comfortably on a Reiki table, with a blanket or light sheet available if you would like one. We begin with a brief conversation about what brings you in and anything you would like me to know before we begin.
During the Reiki treatment, I use gentle, stationary hand placements on or slightly above the body. Reiki does not involve massage, kneading, pressure, or manipulation of muscles or soft tissue. You are always welcome to request hands-off Reiki or ask that a particular area not be touched.
Most people experience Reiki as deeply relaxing. You may notice warmth, tingling, heaviness, lightness, or simply a sense of quiet. You may also fall asleep, which is perfectly fine.
We leave time following the treatment to talk about your experience and anything I noticed intuitively during the session.
How is intuition incorporated into your Reiki sessions?
Intuition has become an important part of my work through many years of Reiki practice and working with clients. During a session, I may receive impressions or guidance that feel relevant to what we are working with. When appropriate, I share those observations with you and allow you to decide what is meaningful or useful.
The Reiki treatment itself remains grounded in Reiki practice and training.
Do you access the Akashic Records during a Reiki session?
No. Reiki and Akashic Record readings are separate practices in my work.
If you would like both, you may schedule a Combined Akashic Reiki Session, which includes a 45-minute Akashic Record reading followed by a 30-minute Reiki treatment.
What happens during an Akashic Record reading?
With your permission, I open your Akashic Records and we work with the information and guidance that comes forward in response to your questions and what you would like to explore.
The reading is interactive. You are encouraged to ask questions, respond to what you hear, and explore the information more deeply as the session unfolds.
Will you predict my future or tell me what I should do?
No. I do not use the Akashic Records to predict your future or make decisions for you.
The Records can offer perspective on patterns, relationships, experiences, possibilities, and the deeper context surrounding what is happening in your life. The intention is to provide information that supports greater clarity and conscious choice.
In Person & Remote Sessions
Are remote sessions as effective as in-person sessions?
Reiki does not require physical proximity, so Remote Reiki can be offered regardless of where you are located. We connect via Zoom before the treatment, and you can then relax comfortably in your own home while I provide the Reiki treatment remotely.
Akashic Record readings are conversational and work equally well via Zoom.
Many of my clients and students work with me remotely.
Do I need to prepare for my session?
Very little preparation is necessary. For an in-person session, simply arrive as you are.
For a remote session, choose a quiet, comfortable place where you are unlikely to be interrupted.
For Remote Reiki, having somewhere to lie down, along with a pillow and blanket, is helpful.
For an Akashic Record reading, you may want to think about the questions or areas of your life you would most like to explore. You do not need to have perfectly formulated questions before we begin. I send you an email with some possible questions to support you in your preparation.
How soon should I schedule an appointment?
My private client schedule is intentionally limited so I can maintain the quality and presence I bring to each session while also teaching Reiki and Akashic Record programs.
Because I work with clients and students locally, nationally, and internationally, appointment times can fill well in advance. If you know you would like a session, I recommend scheduling when you first begin considering it rather than waiting until you need an immediate appointment.
What if there are no appointments available?
If you don't see an appointment that works for you, please join the waitlist. Cancellations and schedule changes do occur, and the waitlist gives me the opportunity to offer newly available times to people who are already waiting.
You can also check the online schedule periodically, as new appointments may be added.
Do you accept new clients?
Yes. I continue to welcome new clients as my schedule allows. You do not need a referral to schedule with me.
How do I know which session to book?
If you primarily want relaxation, energetic support, and time to receive, Reiki is a good place to begin.
If you have questions you would like to explore and are looking for greater understanding, perspective, or clarity, consider an Akashic Record reading.
If you would like the insight and conversation of an Akashic Record reading along with time to receive Reiki and integrate the session, the Combined Akashic Reiki Session offers both.
If you're still unsure, you're welcome to schedule a complimentary 20-minute Zoom conversation with me before booking.
