The Meaning of Karuna


Karuna, a Sanskrit word deeply rooted in both Hinduism and Buddhism, translates to "compassionate action"—any effort made to reduce the suffering of others. In spiritual teachings, Karuna is closely linked with enlightenment, where individuals understand that all beings are interconnected as one. This awareness naturally leads to extending compassion and care to everyone without exception, as we recognize that healing one contributes to the healing of all.

In practicing Karuna Reiki®, the focus is on helping others through their healing process, understanding that in doing so, the entire web of life benefits. The oneness of all beings makes it not only an act of love to extend healing energy but also a practical, natural response to the suffering around us. Just as you would care for your own wounds, it makes sense to wish for and support the healing of others. In Buddhist teachings, it is also emphasized that compassionate action (Karuna) must be guided by wisdom (prajna) to have the greatest effect, ensuring that help is given in the most appropriate and effective way.

Karuna is the driving force behind all enlightened beings who seek to end suffering on Earth. These beings are constantly sending healing energy and guidance, but it requires a receptive heart and mind to fully benefit from their support. As you cultivate Karuna within yourself through Karuna Reiki®, you not only contribute to the healing of others but also become more open to receiving the boundless healing energy available to you from higher spiritual sources. Holy Fire III - Karuna Reiki Master Class


Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki®: A Path to Deep Healing and Compassion
Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® is an advanced form of Reiki introduced by the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). Known for its powerful yet gentle energy, Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® offers purification, healing, empowerment, and spiritual guidance. The Holy Fire energy is more refined than traditional Reiki, coming from a higher level of consciousness and creating a deeper connection to healing and growth.
The word "Karuna" means “compassionate action,” and this energy facilitates healing with profound gentleness and compassion. Throughout this course, you will learn 8 new symbols that address a wide range of healing needs. These symbols are used for spiritual anesthesia, deep emotional healing, opening the heart, grounding, accessing divine wisdom and power, releasing cellular memory, healing from abuse and addiction, improving relationships, and overcoming fear, panic, and co-dependence. In addition to healing, the Karuna Reiki® energy promotes personal growth, developing universal compassion, enhancing creativity, and fostering inner peace and Earth healing.

World Peace Karuna Reiki®
This class integrates the transformative World Peace Karuna Reiki® energy, which builds upon the Holy Fire® III energy with a higher vibration focused on cultivating peace within yourself and the world. You will experience the Empowered by the River of Peace Experience and the World Peace Ignition, which deepens your connection to the World Peace energy. These experiences help you manifest peace and empower you to teach the World Peace version of Karuna Reiki® to others. As part of this course, you will receive both levels of Karuna Reiki®, four Ignitions (including the World Peace Ignition), and comprehensive instruction on how to use all nine symbols. Upon completing the course, you will be qualified to teach all levels of Karuna Reiki®.

What You Will Experience During This 3-Day Intensive:
  • Learn the 4 Karuna Level One symbols, 4 Karuna Level Two symbols, and explore their applications for a wide range of healing purposes.
  • Practice giving and receiving Karuna Reiki® using the full set of symbols.
  • Experience a Holy Love healing, opening your heart to greater self-compassion and clarity.
  • Receive four Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master Ignitions, which upgrade your Reiki energy, providing purification, healing, empowerment, and a direct connection to Source/God/Holy Spirit.
  • Begin to uncover your Authentic Self and heal aspects of your identity that have been shaped by external influences and cultural conditioning.
  • Learn techniques to release spirit attachments, bringing greater clarity and balance to your energy field.
  • Explore higher levels of consciousness, from Level 3 to Level 7, expanding your spiritual awareness.
  • Learn how to incorporate Holy Fire® meditations into your practice, deepening your connection to the healing energy.
  • Take your healing and spiritual journey to a new, deeper level with advanced practices and insights.
  • Receive training on how to teach Karuna Reiki® as a three-day intensive and how to teach all levels of Reiki using the Holy Fire® system.
  • Add vibrational healing to your sessions by learning how to chant and tone with Karuna Reiki®, amplifying the healing effects for yourself and your clients.
  • Become a Registered Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master with the ICRT, gaining access to official manuals and certificates for your students.
  • Network and collaborate with other dedicated Reiki Masters who are committed to advancing their personal and professional lives.
This workshop provides a powerful opportunity to elevate your healing practice, connect with like-minded Reiki Masters, and expand your abilities with advanced healing tools. The course includes a detailed manual with in-depth descriptions of each symbol and the Ignition processes, as well as a certificate of completion. After becoming a Registered Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master, you will be able to use ICRT-approved manuals and issue ICRT student certificates.
