Your Journey to Becoming a Reiki Practitioner

Every master starts as a beginner, and in the journey of Reiki, each step holds the potential for deep transformation and growth.
Reiki, which means "universal life-force energy" (with "Rei" signifying the divine or universal, and "Ki" symbolizing the life energy flowing through all), has long offered healing and peace to those who embrace it. This gentle Japanese technique allows us to connect with this universal energy, promoting relaxation, peace, and a profound sense of well-being.

Beginning this path requires no prerequisites—only an open heart and a willingness to connect. With gentle guidance, we help each student connect with Reiki energy, gradually deepening their understanding and skills. All you need to bring is your curiosity and intention, and we’ll support you every step of the way as you grow into the practice (see class details below).

As you continue your journey, the Reiki Master training becomes an opportunity to deepen this sacred connection and expand your understanding of universal life-force energy. The advanced level invites you to explore new techniques, refine your skills, and embrace the wisdom that comes with mastery.

In Reiki Master training, we create a nurturing space for you to step into the role of both practitioner and guide, learning to channel Reiki energy in ways that can profoundly support others. Our ONLINE Reiki Training Program

Kathy Golden, Licensed Reiki Master Teacher, has been teaching classes for nearly a decade, and teaching online since 2020.  There are many advantages to learning online, and you may find the online setting to be both private and sacred.  During classes, there are guided meditation and healing experiences, some of which can be emotional as you release old wounds.  Online classes offer you the additional comfort and privacy of being in your own space.

The number of students in each class is also kept small (6-10), allowing for better and deeper connections with each individual. 

Online classes follow the same curriculum as our in-person classes, and are live (not pre-recorded).

Your path to Reiki certification will begin with training on the practice's fundamentals. You'll gradually attain more knowledge and expertise as you progress through the levels - Beginner, Master & Karuna Master. All classes are online via Zoom, unless you're in Minnesota, where in-person classes are available.

  • ​Usui/Holy Fire III® - Reiki I & II Practitioner Training - Online
The Usui/Holy Fire III® - Reiki I & II Practitioner Training is the first level of our Reiki healing sessions open to all beginners. There are no prerequisites for this class.

If you are just starting your Reiki training, the Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki I & II class is the perfect place to begin. This foundational course is designed to introduce you to the powerful healing energy of Reiki, giving you the tools and techniques needed to offer Reiki Sessions to others. This class opens the door to personal healing, growth and spiritual connection.

  • Usui/Holy Fire® III- Reiki Master Class - Online
The Usui/Holy Fire® III- Reiki Master Class upgrades your Reiki energy to the master level, as well as providing deep, personal healing.
You must have completed our Reiki I & II Practitioner Training and practiced for at least six months to be eligible to participate in the Master Classes.

The Reiki Master Class is designed for Reiki practitioners who wish to deepen their connection to the Reiki energy. Whether you are seeking to enhance your personal healing journey or plan to teach and share Reiki with others, the Master class offers both spiritual growth and mastery of the Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki system. At the end of this course, you will be fully qualified to teach Reiki levels I through Reiki Master if you choose. During the class, you will receive and learn about Placements and Ignitions, a refined and simplified form of attunements. 

  • Holy Fire III®-Karuna Reiki™ Master Class - Online
Senior level of Reiki training is the Holy Fire III®-Karuna Reiki™ Master Class. This class is open to dedicated Reiki Masters who have completed both the Reiki I & II Practitioner Training and Usui/Holy Fire® III—Reiki Master Class and would like to continue to enhance their Reiki gifts.  You must wait 6 months following completion of the Reiki Master Class prior to  attending Karuna.  In this class, you will learn and begin to work with 8 new healing symbols, designed to deepen your ability to heal yourself and others.  This class also allows you to connect to enlightened beings, enhancing your ability to receive divine guidance and live a life of purpose.

Karuna, which translates to mean compassionate action, upgrades your Reiki energy to the Karuna level, giving you access to a more refined and higher level of consciousness. You will find an increased capacity to heal others, with a deepened sense of connectedness to the world and those around you.  At the end of this training, you’ll become a Registered Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki™ Master.

Meet Your Licensed Reiki Master Teacher, Kathy Golden

Kathy Golden is a Licensed Reiki Master Teacher (LRMT) and LRMT Mentor Teacher with the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT), one of the most respected and trusted Reiki organizations in the world. The ICRT is known for its rigorous, up-to-date curriculum, and Kathy brings that high standard of excellence to every class and healing session she offers.

Kathy’s training includes study, practice and mentorship from Senior Master Teachers, including William Lee Rand, the Founder of the ICRT, and Karen Harrison, Senior Reiki Master Teacher and Co-Director of the Licensed Reiki Master Teacher Training Program. With this elite training, Kathy has gained the depth of knowledge and experience required to become a trusted teacher and practitioner. She is the owner of The Golden Reiki Centers, located in both Los Angeles, CA, and Minneapolis, MN.

Online Reiki Healing Sessions

WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki (Ray-Kee) is a Japanese technique for stress relief and relaxation that boosts the immune system and enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself.  The technique was developed in Japan and is administered by the laying on of hands. It is based on the idea that a life force energy flows through us, and disruptions in this energy can lead to illness or stress. When your life energy is high, you’ll feel strong and confident, more relaxed and centered, and less likely to get sick.  When it is low, you’ll often feel tired, and more easily affected by stress and less resistant to illness.

Reiki locates, releases and heals the body where trauma has been stored (or trapped).  It quiets the mind, allowing the body to move into a meditative state. Clients express a feeling of balance, lightness, less fatigue and a return of energy.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A REIKI SESSION?

A Reiki treatment is a deeply relaxing experience.  You remain fully clothed, covered with a blanket (or light sheet if you prefer).  Lying on your back, the Practitioner uses their hands to lightly touch or hover over specific ares of your body. You may feel tingling or sleepiness as energy blocks are removed and energy flow improves.  Calming music is played throughout the treatment.  Most clients experience a sense of calm, similar to deep meditation, and many fall asleep.

HOW DO REMOTE REIKI SESSIONS WORK?

Distance/Remote Reiki Treatments are conducted via Zoom.  Reiki works just as effectively at a distance as in person - because energy is not bound by space or time. Distance Reiki uses elements of both intentional thoughts, prayers and energy to balance the mind, body and spirit, supporting the body's natural ability to heal.  Similar to in-person, you lie in a comfortable position on a bed or couch as calming music plays in the background.  The session begins with a guided meditation, immediately followed by a 45 or 60 min Reiki treatment.

Reiki is deeply calming and relaxing, often providing clarity, peace of mind and a renewed sense of purpose.  It boosts the immune system, reduces chronic pain, depression and anxiety.  ​​
