Eden Prarie is approximately 12 miles Southwest of Minneapolis and with a population of roughly  61,000, Eden Prarie is the 12th largest city in the state. In 2016, Money Magazine named Eden Prarie the 2 best out of its list of top 50 destinations to live. A part of the draw of Eden Prarie is the tax base. Eden Prarie has plenty of large employers, which not only brings in plenty of revenue to the city as well as employ residence, but the city spends quite a lot of money in return to provide amenities.
The city has 37 parks, 17 lakes, and oodles of trails for hiking. The average home price in Eden Prarie is around $450,000 and at least 73 percent of Eden Prarie residents own their own home, and Eden Prarie is one place where real estate keeps constantly appreciating.  Home appreciation can be as high as 11 percent per year.
And the vast majority of people simply love living and working in Eden Prarie. It has a top-notch, vibrant mall, and all the restaurants and amenities you could want. Anoka County lands on our list next.
