What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Kee) is a gentle yet powerful Japanese technique designed to reduce stress and promote deep relaxation, while also supporting the body’s natural healing abilities.

Rooted in the understanding that a life force energy flows through all of us, Reiki helps restore balance by addressing disruptions in this vital energy. These imbalances can lead to illness, stress, or emotional distress. When your life force energy is high, you feel strong, grounded, and more resilient, with a heightened sense of well-being. Conversely, when this energy is low, you may feel fatigued, easily overwhelmed, and more susceptible to illness.

Through the practice of Reiki, this healing energy is channeled by the practitioner through the gentle laying on of hands. Reiki works by locating and releasing areas in the body where trauma, stress, or emotional pain has been stored. As the energy flows, it encourages the body to shift into a meditative state, where healing can take place at a deeper level. Clients often report feeling a sense of balance, lightness, and revitalization after a session, as if old burdens have been lifted, making way for new energy to emerge.

Meet Kathy Golden, Licensed Reiki Master Teacher

Kathy Golden is a Licensed Reiki Master Teacher (LRMT) and LRMT Mentor Teacher with the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT), one of the most respected and trusted Reiki organizations in the world. The ICRT is known for its rigorous, up-to-date curriculum, and Kathy brings that high standard of excellence to every class and healing session she offers.

Kathy’s training includes study, practice and mentorship from Senior Master Teachers, including William Lee Rand, the Founder of the ICRT, and Karen Harrison, Senior Reiki Master Teacher and Co-Director of the Licensed Reiki Master Teacher Training Program. With this elite training, Kathy has gained the depth of knowledge and experience required to become a trusted teacher and practitioner. She is the owner of The Golden Reiki Centers, located in both Los Angeles, CA, and Minneapolis, MN.

There are only 40 Licensed Reiki Master Teachers in the world, and Kathy is part of this distinguished group. LRMTs are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of teaching and practice in the Reiki community. This elite designation reflects Kathy’s commitment to offering the best in Reiki education and healing, along with her passion for helping others on their spiritual and healing journeys.

Kathy provides a wide range of services, including Reiki Healing Sessions, Reiki Training Classes (all levels), Akashic Record Readings, and Akashic Record Practitioner Training. She works with clients and students globally, helping them discover their own healing potential. In addition to her teachings, Kathy offers a 6-month Mentorship Program for Practitioners looking to start or grow their healing business, providing guidance and support for new practitioners and entrepreneurs.
